Recently announced for the WiiWare, Capcom will be bringing out an update to the classic Nintendo series. This wouldn't be that surprising, Capcom is rehashing Street Fighter, Bionic Commando, The Commando series, and 1942. All updated with crisp next generation graphics but yet staying true to the play style of the original games. The new game will likely be available on all of the download services, as the trailer strongly indicates XBOX Live and Playstation Store.
However as you can see below Mega Man 9 is a very true NES sequel. Running with (state of the art?) retro 8-bit styling, and MIDI sound a lot of the fan-boys are disappointed. I for one am rather geek-ed. But then you are talking about the same person that snuck into his parents bedroom when he was in middle school to very carefully open a cellophane wrapped Mega Man 2 and play through the first 4 levels before Christmas.
So without further ado, please feast your eyes on the 8-bit retro-quel in all it's 8-bit glory…
