An Ohio minister says his teenage son asked his parents to close their eyes for a surprise, then shot each of them.

The Rev. Mark Petric testified Monday in the bench trial of 17-year-old Daniel Petric who is accused of killing his mother and shooting his father in October 2007.

Prosecutors say Daniel Petric was so angry that his father would not allow him to play the video game Halo 3 that he shot his parents, then tried to make it appear to be a murder-suicide.

Mark Petric said after he closed his eyes his head went numb from a gunshot to the head. Susan Petric died of gunshot wound to the head.

Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge has left the door open for Petric to plead guilty to aggravated murder and other charges.

As if the upcoming Halo Wars wasn't enough, Wiz Kids is putting out a Halo board game. Because board games are totally what gamers are into. It comes out next month.

Although I may love Halo 3, neither the board game or Halo Wars excites me. This is saying a lot considering I've played more than 1,300 games of Halo 3 online. If you do the math, figuring a game online might average eight minutes, that's somewhere around 173 hours, or just over a week. That's right, seven whole days of my life will have been spent playing Halo 3.

That is why I am a part of this blog.
