Rachel Slajda of Talking Points Memo reports that Senator Lindsey Graham will vote to confirm Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the United States Supreme Court.Â
In his opening statement during Sotomayor's confirmation hearings, Graham predicted that she would be confirmed absent a "complete meltdown," and on the final day of questioning, in his closing remarks, he expressed respect for her ability and intellectual integrity. Slajda reports that today Graham described Sotomayor as "one of the most qualified nominees to be selected for the Supreme Court in decades," and stated that "the speeches ["wise latina"] are troubling, but you know what, I've given some speeches that may have been troubling to those on the other side." He also said:
Only in America could this happen. I'm proud of the fact that my country is moving in the right direction, when everybody and anybody can hit it out of the park.

Sounds like Sen. Graham may have a little more common sense than the typical politician. Think he might be interested in forming a new party of problem solvers instead of the typical baby-kissers and pork barrel stuffers???
Huckleberry got his white man's ego stroked when he lambasted the Latina woman, challenging her temperment, her racial biases, etc.
Now that old Huck had his patriarchal say….he's good to go approving Ms. Sotomayor.
Are you saying Latina women are inherently of poor temperment and racist, Reverend?
