About The University of Akron School of Law

Since 1921, over 6,000 people have graduated from The University of Akron School of Law. Akron Law promotes justice, the protection of individual liberty and the rule of law through commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. A regional law school of national impact, Akron Law boasts renowned programs in areas such as intellectual property and trial advocacy, and is also home to one of four Constitutional Law Centers in the United States. Its clinical program, which includes the nationally recognized New Business Legal Clinic, gives students the opportunity to experience the actual practice of law in supervised settings. Akron Law has a strong commitment to public service with over 165 alumni who have served as members of federal and/or state judiciaries. In addition to the Juris Doctorate degree, the law school offers five joint degree programs and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property.
