Gary Baxter's contract terminated

The Browns terminated the contract of injured defensive back Gary Baxter today. Baxter had to undergo arthroscopic surgery after experiencing pain in his surgically repaired knee(s). Baxter has been attemping a nearly two year comeback from tearing both patella tendons in an October 2006 game against the Broncos.
Realistically, this is the end for Baxter. His comeback was nothing short of inspiring, but the body has certain limitations. Baxter was a guy who was active in the community, so it's sad to see him go on many levels. Best of luck, Gary.
