Clayton thinks the Browns have the pieces to get Cutler

ESPN's John Clayton believes the Browns have the best pieces available to acquire disgruntled Denver quarterback Jay Cutler:
The team with the best chance to interest the Broncos would be the Cleveland Browns. The Browns, you ask? Yes, the Browns would be best because they could offer a promising quarterback in return in either Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson.
While merely speculative on Clayton's part, he does make a good point. Financially acquiring either quarterback would be a wash for both teams. Trading for Cutler will likely force his new team's hand into negotiating a new contract, given the past of his agent Bus Cook.
In other news, the Browns brought in former Chicago Bear John St. Clair for a visit Monday. No news on the offensive tackle and if he was offered a contract.
The Arizona Cardinals plucked a running back off the Browns' roster Monday. They signed backup Jason Wright to a deal reportedly reportedly $2 million over two years. Wright should take on the same role he did in Cleveland and will back up starting running back Tim Hightower. If the season started today, Jerome Harrison would be the Browns' No. 2 running back. This could mean the Browns will make a move in the draft to add another back.

This is a crap report. Why should we bring in another non-playoff quarterback–and an obvious team problem-child, at that–when we already have two QBs, one of which needs to PLAY immediately: Brady Quinn. You think Cutler would be happy if we brought him here to "compete" for a job or to backup Quinn?
No freakin' way. Send that immature so-called "leader" elsewhere. We don't need any babies with hurt feelings heading to Cleveland.

The non-stop speculation by all the talking heads on ESPN and on the internet about Cutler is at a fever pitch and now has a life of it's own. John Clayton among others must like to hear themselves talk or have to say something to prove that they are an "expert" or "insider".
I think that the odds are far greater that Cutler stays in Denver rather than coming to Cleveland.
Cutler seems like he is pretty high maintenance and Mangini isn't one of your warm and fuzzy, hand holding coaches. So I'm not sure that Mangini and Cutler would be a good fit.

it woyld take more than either of those qb's to get cutler. EIther of them plus draft pick(s).

If you traded D.A. to Denver for Denver's 2cnd round pick and Detroits 1st round pick at #20, that would make sense to me. Denver could move Cutler to Detroit in this deal. This is an inovative way to get into the mix… and free up our quarterback situation. You could draft a good young quarterback to back up Brady Quinn… after you address our defensive needs in th first 3 rounds with our extra high round picks.
