Guess who is Abram Elam's agent

Posted May 15th, 2009 by Dan

He's loud, he's obnoxious, he is none other than Drew Rosenhaus!

Pro: He'll probably leak some Browns dirt. This is good considering how tight-lipped the Mangini/Kokinis regime is going to be.

Con: Kellen Winslow Jr. and Terrell Owens are among Rosenhaus' clients.

Pro: If Rosenhaus is his agent, Elam's potential to be a star is there.

Con: No agent gets their players to hold out more than Rosenhaus. Not only do they hold out, but they workout topless in their driveways while doing so.

Elam's association with this clown is the only reason I need to say "Adios!" Vermin like Rosenhaus and Boras have completely ruined pro sports. Oh sure, the players love getting absurd paychecks (not as much as the agents!), but the games have totally priced out the common fan. Owners should've nipped that salary crap in the bud wayyy back. Now we're all paying the price for their stupidity. Uh, well, I'm not. Never have, never will. And if they all move their product to pay-TV, good for them. Just one more sport I won't have to waste my time with.

Rosenhaus represents Corey Ivey, but that doesn't make Ivey the second coming of Ronnie Lott. Who cares who represents Elam, both Elam and his agent are irrelevant.

I, for one, am happy to see agents getting more publicity. There always have been high-profile agents with tactics some consider to be shady. Now they are prominently known, and fans urge their GMs to back away from players represented by them.

I think we will see a new labor agreement after this year. The NFL has to push for a NBA draft – slotted pay system. You get drafted 10 the in the 2nd round you know what you get money wise . Will that really work ? What kind of numbers are we talking about ?
