Age Bias Lawsuits Increase

Not unexpectedly, given recent layoffs and reductions in force by companies, age bias discrimination lawsuits and filings are on the increase. An excellent summary of the data appeared in the Wall Street Journal (thanks to Ken Shultz for pointing this out). Although people are entitled to exercise their rights, and should be encouraged to do so, one wonders how many lawsuits of various types will come out of the recent economic downturn and whether that flood of litigation will slow any attempted recover.
