There was a superfluous step in the Flashes' imaginary run to the BCS game, as USC did NOT beat Virginia Tech, but did beat Virginia.

Maybe that's why the voters ignored KSU!

I think Ben spells his name Klafczynski. Good reporting requires accuracy!

Geno can find some shooters at the Rec Center.............trust me!

Congratulations to the Kent State baseball players for being recognized. The Brooks Wallace Award is college baseballs Heisman Trophy

"For as much as I hear about the things Kent State has done the last 10 years, I am one of the ones who doesn't really see it." Couldn't agree more. The 20 or more wins in 10 straight seasons is great, but Christian never won anything beyond the MAC tournament and outside the 2002 run, KSU hasn't done much of anything on the national level. I have never seen KSU as an elite mid-major, but maybe an above average consistent mid-major (though being consistent is an accomplishment in itself as a mid-major). Now if only we can get a few of these big names we're playing this year to come to Kent once and awhile...

The biggest problem against Western Carolina was free throw shooting. Missing 14 attempts was a killer, espcially the last one in regulation. There were also way too many quick shots and Al Fisher trying to do too much. Hopefully the break will help them regroup. The WCU coach was quoted as saying they got KSU "at the right time" after the run of games KSU had to play. He recognized KSU was probably tired.
