State of the blog
By Jonas FortuneHey folks,
I apologize for not updating the blog in, well, forever. But to be completely honest I don't do much with the KSU beat anymore, therefore its unfair for me to post my opinions when I am not around it enough.
I talked to a few KSU journalism students about taking the blog over a month or so ago, but no one has gotten back to me about it. So, I'll keep looking for a replacement.
Instead, my focus has been on covering high school athletics and working on our new Cleveland Indians baseball blog, Tribe Matters.

To the Beacon Journal employee(s) responsible for changing this blog.
The Cleveland Indians are already well-covered by many good blogs, Let's Go Tribe, for one.
You'd be better off sticking to local college and high school sports rather than attempting to add yet another Tribe blog.

Sorry, media sources only cover those teams that win CHAMPIONSHIPS. Congrats on making it to the elite 8 a few years back…it won't happen again!

"e s" by championships, I'm assuming you mean championships in all sports. So I guess you would be including baseball, softball, golf, wrestling, gymnastics, track, field hockey, and all the other sports Kent State frequently wins championships in that Akron never does.
Oh wait. You guys have soccer (a European sport), and one basketball tourney championship in 23 years. Guess I forgot…

"Zippy," how did your grammar get you accepted into U of Akron. Oh, I forgot…they don't actually have admission requirements over there.
