Kent State's senior forward Justin Greene picked up his 10th career Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week honor Monday after averaging 23 points and helping lead the Golden Flashes to a 2-0 week with a sweep of Miami and Bowling Green.

A six-time recipient of the award last season, the 6-foot-8 Greene added to his career total with his first such honor of this season.

Wednesday, Greene recorded his first 20-point effort of the year with 23 points against visiting Miami. Not only was he the high scorer, Greene  also made the game-winning basket with 23 seconds left as the Flashes rallied from a seven-point deficit with six minutes left on route to a 71-67 victory.

Greene followed up that performance with another 23-point output Saturday, powering the Flashes to a 92-87 win against visiting  Boweling Green. Fourteen of his his points came in the last 14 minutes of the first half, as Kent State turned a seven-point deficit into an 18-point lead (45-27) lead by out scoring the Falcons 38-12.
