Interview with new MAC Commissioner

June 16, 2009

The Plain Dealer recently interviewed new Mid-American Conference Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher.  Steinbrecher, the former Commissioner of the Ohio Valley Conference and Mid-Continent Conference, took over on May 1.  "What I want to make sure we're doing, at virtually every meeting, basketball is the topic of conversation," Steinbrecher said.  Read the full Q and A here.

Kent State defeats Central Michigan at MAC Tournament

May 21, 2009

The #4 seed Kent State baseball team (40-15) defeated #8 Central Michigan tonight by a score of 17-2 at the MAC Tournament in Chillicothe.  Kyle Hallock was excellent on the hill for the Golden Flashes.  Hallock went 6.2 innings giving up two runs on seven hits.  Shortstop Chris Tremblay began the game with a home run and went 4 [...]
