Kent State softball beats Akron, extends MAC East lead

In a battle of the top two MAC East teams, it was Kent State who bettered cross-town rival Akron 3-2 today. The Golden Flashes softball team improved to 7-1 in conference play, while the Zips fell to 6-4, and 23-14 overall. Kent State men's golf wins Towson Invitational

Following a sixth place finish in the 2008 NCAA Championship, the Kent State men's golf team is off to a strong start in 2009, easily winning the 11th Annual Towson Invitational Golf Tournament over the weekend.
