1) Where was The Grotto? You're not talking about The Valley, are you? If so, that's, obviously, not downtown.

2) What restaurant is rumored to be moving in?

3) I would hardly call one additional downtown restaurant an "explosion".

Hello! I appreciate your confidence. Here is the scoop as far as I know – THESE ARE RUMORS NOT FACTS!!
1. Irish Pub next to Bruggers: Terry Dean was going to open an Irish pub as his dying wish. (He was sick with cancer) Rumor had it that if he died prior to the pub opening its doors – the bar would never open. The pub was scheduled to open August 14th – Terry died August 12th. I have not heard a thing since. BUT – it would be a shame for it to never open – there has been significant work done and not to open its doors with the opening date being so close is a shame.
2. Cheese Steak Place: I have not heard a thing BUT if I were to guess – it was someone new to the restaurant industry. They didn't have the money to open their doors because of the cost to renovate, pay permits, pay a staff, etc. Its too bad G.D. Ritzy's is gone!! That place was great and was there for years – it seems to be the only restaurant the made it at that location…

Two questions about two places in the valley that I thought were opening??? Thought I would ask you because you seen to know what's going on down there. (Merriman Valley)
There was a cheesesteak place that had a sign and everything next to BP….now nothing????Then what is going on with the Irish Pub next to Bruggers??? Where the Grotto was?

While watching fox 8 cleveland, Robin Swaboda's show I first heard of Lilly's. While in the beginning I was very excited to try her chocolate, by the end I was not. Robin (the host) asked to sample a piece and without gloves, tongs, anything, Amanda (the owner) bare handed the choloates and handed them to her.

So, the sanitary comment in the article above is kicked to the curb. If she does that on television for all to see, how clean are they while the are making the chocolate when there are no eyes to see? No hating, just stating the disgusting facts. Even if it's not a common practice to wear gloves, at least do it on television.

I'm sure the feature is in the archives at fox8cleveland, under That's life with Robin Swaboda, search the archives.

The stadium is PERFECT and exactly what this city and university needed! I can't wait to watch the development take place around the stadium on E. Exchange going into the southern portion of downtown. The Info is literally breathtaking.
